GNTB goes to the 35th Philippine Day at Woodbury, Minnesota

SURREAL!

The best word to describe how I feel joining and participating on the 35th Annual Philippine Day held last July 23, 2023 at Ojibway Park, Woodbury, MN

Philippine Day is the biggest Filipino Community sponsored event here in Minnesota. The perfect event to introduce Gawa ni Tita BA to the Filipino Community.

Preparing for this took a lot of effort, took a toll on us both Physical and Emotional. We had a lot of late night (err should I say early morning), doubts, and yes there were fights and mis understanding mixed! but all of it gone!

During the event I was not able to sit the whole 4 hours as people come and go but I welcome each with a smile and a laugh - I want them feeling happy and energized as they leave with their Gawa ni Tita BA product. I receive a lot of great feedback from the community - I said to myself and gave myself a tap in the back "you have done well, BeeAy".

Words are not enough to tell the story, let me share some pictures and highlights of the event:

Setting up tent
The first thing we did when we received our tent was to practice setting up in less than 10 mins! Practice really helps!

I love connecting with the community, I love hearing stories of where they came from, how they migrated and ended up in Minnesota. I love how there face lights up to see my design, but most importantly, I love to share good laughs from my funny food puns! This truly fed my soul. ❤️
The INGRESS Team - All ready for this wonderful day!
The EGRESS Team - Pagod and sun burnt, but still all smiles!

Friends stopped by to support Gawa ni Tita BA, and they set up camp behind our tent, this was more than Gawa ni Tita BA, I love that it was also a way to just enjoy each others company over good food and good laugh.
My little helpers, they were my cashiers! 🤓
The ORIGINAL Gawa ni Tita BA, my kyotie pie little one.
After the event, this little sweet pea hugged me and said Miss you mama (since I was so busy being the punong abala), I almost cried. 🥲

Tita BA in action.

The COO and CEO 😉

Really, I dont think I will be able to do all of this without the help of my uber supportive and hardworking hubby, Tito Beans. He printed, ironed, packed 400 shirts! Not to mention loaded all the stuff in the car, scouted the best canopy, the best table cloth, thought of my tent set up.

This is truly it, Pansit! Gawa ni Tita BA is here ready to bring joy, laughter, nostalgia, and Filipino heritage to the world!

til my next blog post!

XO,

Tita BA
